Florida forwards Erik Murphy and Cody Larson were arrested on felony burglary charges early Sunday morning, according to St. Augustine Police.

A television station in Jacksonville reported the two players are out on bond after breaking into a car. Joshua Adel, a team manager, was charged with principal to burglary.

Investigators said Larson and Murphy claimed to lose a wallet at a bar, but were soon asked to leave after they got close to an employee who was counting money. After they left, bouncers saw the two players breaking into a co-worker’s car in a nearby parking lot.

Florida has not released a statement.

Two Florida players arrested on felony charges

C'mon Florida coaches clean it up already!  So much for telling their parents you would take care of them
coaches can't be with these people 24-hrs a day, chief.  coaches are not parents.  these players are young adults that need to be responsible for their own actions - period.

if anything, the parents should take more of the blame since they raised them.  i do not blame Billy Donovan one bit for this, just as I do not blame Urban Meyer for the football team arrest issues.  If I get arrested, no one is saying that my boss at work is responsible.  why should these players be looked at any different?

Two Florida players arrested on felony charges

This is not the fault of majority of the student athletes that are good kids - but for those that don't see the opportunity to go to college and really try and become someone as a gift.  I blame whoever interviews this kids prior to accepteting them into the program.  I mean really man breaking into a car,  casing the joint beforehand all for what?  Are they starving?  Even if the NCAA payed players we would have other issues - like atletes robbing eachother for their checks -  C'mon Florida coaches clean it up already!  So much for telling their parents you would take care of them ---

Lol, that's funny I don't care who you are. I give extra credit to anyone who can get felonious and buggery in the same post.

You really cannot fault Donovan for this as it was completely outside his ability to control, but the assistant coach who participated should be fired no questions asked. Not knowing the details of why the players tried to break into the car, I'm guessing it had something to do with retaliation for the wallet they lost and possibly believed someone (maybe the person who owned the car) stole. Stupid to be sure, but the kind of thing that you can learn from and not do again if given the chance. So if this was just stupidity, I'd give them another chance on a VERY short leash to get back on the straight and narrow. Everyone should get a second chance (unless it's murder, rape, child molesting, etc. and then you should be locked away for a very long time if not life).

It will be interesting to see what Donovan does. Moreover, it will be interesting to see what Florida does as the arrest rate of high profile sport atheletes at UF lately is embarrassing to say the least. The only thing worse would be felonious buggering! And as a UF alumn, I can only hope there's none of that going on.....

Must be something in that swamp water causing all this felonious behavior down in FL. It hasn't been long since Mark Foley was accused of buggery, now these two are arrested for burglary. And that's only the Bs. The Shoeshine State is off to a great start in working through the criminal alphabet

Two Florida players arrested on felony charges

Being an Ohio State fan you knew the SEC would have to top the Buckeyes selling off gear. Much worse when the stuff you are selling you broke into someones place and stole it. Wish they would have entered my crib and met up w/ Mr Remington 12 gauge. Being sending their black asses back to Fla in a body bag

OK, I'll bite. What does the SEC have to do with this. THese two WHITE players were from Florida. The SEC isn't a place, it's a conference.....one that Florida is part of. So, there is absolutely ZERO correlation between the SEC and these two WHITE kids breaking into a car.

I'd call you a moron, but others have already done that, so why bother?

You are complete moron.  Fir
st of all they were white.  I guess if they were in your house and sat on your furnature for awhile their asses may have in fact, turned black.  They broke into a car not a home.  Don't you know the difference between a home and a ... oh, wait.. you said you were an OSU fan.  Nevermind.  Sorry, I forgot you losers live in your car.  My bad.

Someone remind me what Teddy Dupay was charged with and convicted of.  What laws did he break?
