Cuonzo Martin isn't waiting very long to make an impact on the recruiting trail. Less than a week after picking up Wes Washpun, the new Tennessee head coach received another commitment on Saturday.

Josh Richardson, a 6-foot-5 guard from Edmond Santa Fe (Okla.), popped for the Volunteers, choosing them over Penn State, TCU and Missouri State.

“I just liked everything there,” Richardson told CBSSports.com. “I was real comfortable.”

Richardson is a long and athletic wing who is lethal in the mid-range, knocking down pull-up jumpers and floaters in the lane. His aggressiveness and motor should help immediately down in Knoxville.

Cuonzo Martin gets another commitment

Let me start out by saying that I hope UT gets it on track quickly becuase the rivalry and growing hatred over the past few years have been exciting for me.  After spending 18 years in KY and now 12 in Tennessee.  I must admit, most of time it is far more enjoyable to be a UK fan in the state of TN.
You guys sure havent had 26-0 runs on us (i dont think but its possible)

You are correct, no 26-0 run.  A 20-0 run and a 32-1 run.  Pretty impressive, especially since they play each other 2 if not 3 times a year.

But at least we are competitive in bball every few years.

I would say that KY has been decently competitive over the past 5 years.  5 straight bowl appearances, knocking off #1 team and eventual national champs, a few top 10 victories.  That's pretty good, especially in KY terms, but still waiting on that victory over UT.  The whole state of TN has been on pins and needles over the past few seasons.  To the extent that the UT fans get up for the UK/UT game as much as they do the traditionaly Florida and Bama game...well...because those have pretty much been a guaranteed loss.

If I have this right, Tennessee beat out TCU, Missouri State, and Penn State?  Those aren't exactly the big Three of College B-ball.  Who else recruited him?

This article is not related to KY but somehow, you guys manage to come on here and start to bash.  So of course we are going to bash back.

KYfan, we most likely will get probation, which we will deal with.  As for the track record of Martin, it doesnt really matter.  He is a man of high dignity and looks to do things by the book.  Time will tell what kind of coach he is.

Obviously, KY fans come looking for all the hate by posting on other boards.  I was watching the Tennessee Orange and White game over the weekend, online, and a bunch of KY fans come on talking about how KY is winning the championship and how they will win the SEC this year.  WTF??  ya know.  26 years in a row is hard to deal with so i guess that you guys just like to rub it in in bball.  But at least we are competitive in bball every few years.  You guys sure havent had 26-0 runs on us (i dont think but its possible)  We all know that some KY fans are easy to get along with, but look back on this board and give me a reason why we shouldnt bash them.  You wont find one. This article, again, is related to TN getting a commitment.  I dont go on KY boards and start talking crap.  Although im sure some VOLS fan do.  And by my count, you guys in bball still have an issue with one and dones.  Although next year, you guys could be scary.  There will be alot of talent on that team but it all comes down to the coach.  And he hasnt proven much except that he is a great recruiter.  If you can recruit like that year after year, and still cant win anything, well, you can guess my thoughts.  Anyways, VOLS will hopefully continue to compete in bball, but you just cant predict the future.  Its all hopes and dreams.  GO VOLS!

I'll never understand the constant Calipari and UK bashing, then again I'm not a jealous person so I'm not given to that type of diatribe. And please don't ever call Dean Smith a great coach. He invented the four corners because he didn't know how to coach. The NCAA implemented the shot clock because the four corners would have been the death of college basketball. And championships? He was give two....one by Fred Brown and the other by Chris Webber. But I do understand he's a fine man. I don't know him personally so I certainly won't stoop to calling him names or attacking his character.

The title at Memphis was vacated because the NCAA cleared Derrick Roose to play then reversed their ruling AFTER the season. It makes no sense and the NCAA needs some manner of oversight. It's a rogue organization accountable to no one.

Hey KatinTexas, you know, there are only 2 things that come from Texas, steers and queers, and you aint got no horns.

Cal is a good coach, not great, he has no rings, no championships, and 2 of the 3 or 4 final 4's he has been to have been revoked.  You know why??  Cheating.  Cal is smart though.  He leaves a program before he is ever able to be charged with anything and the NCAA (most crooked of everyone) lets it slide and punishes the university.  So true, Cal might not have his name tied to anything.  but dont be so naive to think he is a saint.  If you think that, then your uncle is probably your dad.  Go figure.

I think he had some sort of implications in Memphis being stripped of their Final Four Rose's year.  Heres the thing about Callapari not only will he eventually get Kentucky in trouble, he is a choke of a coach anyway. Kentucky Fans if your dreaming of a National Championship get over it.  He has lost the big games year after year at school after school.  And how dare you compares him to Dean Smith he has National championships.  So in the whole scheme of things Kentucky still isn't realavent in the National Championship scene either.

All I wanna know is....whens the BBQ?

Maybe you weren't one of them co&ca, but it is funny, I remember when Cal was in Memphis, all Kentucky fans did was call him a cheater. I am sure it was mostly because your team was garbage then, and good now.
