A week after he announced on Twitter where he was headed, Aaric Murray is making it official on Saturday.

During a press conference at 2 p.m., Murray will choose West Virginia over Oklahoma State, sources told

Although the 6-foot-10 La Salle transfer tweeted last weekend that he was joining West Virginia, Murray and his camp backed away from that statement during this past week. Reports surfaced that Oklahoma State was still in the mix, and even the leader at different stages.

Murray averaged 15.2 points and 7.7 rebounds during his sophomore season with the Explorers, proving to be a difficult match-up for opponents due to his inside-outside skills.

He will sit out next season per NCAA transfer regulations.

Aaric Murray set to pick West Virginia

Smart move by this kid.  Bob Huggins will mold this kid into a lottery pick.  Huggins already has the team built into a perennial power.  Adding this kind of player makes them a serious contender during his stay, which might only be a year under Huggins tutelage (see "lottery pick" line above).
