After Lon Kruger left UNLV for Oklahoma, Canadian forward Grandy Glaze opened up his recruitment and became a sought-after prospect.

On Thursday, Glaze ended his second round of recruiting by choosing Rick Majerus and Saint Louis.

“He visited last week and felt great about the entire experience,” Notre Dame Prep coach Ryan Hurd told CBSSports.com. “Loved the guys on the team, trusts what the coaches are telling him and was incredibly impressed with the facilities.”

Providence and South Florida were also in the mix for Glaze.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Ontario has a strong body and overcomes his lack of size inside with his toughness and aggressiveness. Glaze has a nonstop motor and doesn’t back down from anyone. He should make an immediate impact on a young Saint Louis team that could be a sleeper in the Atlantic-10.

“He’s going to be a match-up problem for A-10 opponents,” Hurd said. “His combination of motor and size makes him special.”

Former UNLV recruit chooses Saint Louis

I have read a lot about Glaze and many of the UNLV fans are so glad this kid is gone.  He was signed by UNLV, but after Lon left, he just left.  Ok, I get it, Lon gone, I'm gone.  But dude, follow Kruger to OU, not St Louis.  Glaze will be ok, but he is not a game changer and I am glad he left.  Good luck, dude
