And this is most definitely a brawl. It escalates quickly and immediately. Not sure what the worst part is: the boiled-over donnybrook, or the fans who, well after tempers settle, pelt and shower the Georgetown players and staff with water bottles.

Truly stunning video, and it comes by way of the irreplaceable Timothy Burke.

And I have to include this photo, which is so troubling and iconic to the incident. It comes from Reuters, via DC Sports Bog.

That guy at the heart of the fight isn't wearing a uniform.

Talk about a tough place to play. The Hoyas thought Syracuse and Marquette were difficult venues, but they weren't prepared for this showdown in Shanghai. The Americans were lucky there was only 250 fans at this contest or they would have never made it out alive if the joint was packed. By the way, what the hell is Georgetown doing in China in the 1st place? This melee will certainly leave a lasting taste in these fellas cultural experience.

ADMINISTRATOR IS A WUSSY!!!!!!!!!! Let the truth be heard or don't run a message board buddy. Freedom of speach!!!, by not letting it be heard you are violating our constitutional rights. Chinese players should all be reprimanded because they're the punks that started it. I dare then to come to our turf and try to start a fight. G'town was outplaying them so they decided to throw a temper tantrum like a bunch of 5 year old girls. Wow a lot of class shown right there. What happens if they do that at the olympics? Reprimanded there as well? Or are you gonna hide all of the peoples comments again? This is an open message board and you can't delete stuff because you don't agree with it. If you want that make it a closed message board otherwise let the voices be heard!

Why would I get -100, and have my comment deleted when I was telling the guy what he was saying is racist, and he should be ashamed of himself?  I said nothing wrong.

Yup, Georgetown basketball at it's best, no matter what Thompson is coaching the team.

Yes, G-town player hacked two or three times as he brought the ball up court, but is that a reason to make a move that directly led to this scene? No. But class is not part of the Hoyas program, nor has it ever been.

And for Thompson to be ignorant enough to say the incident is behind the team, pure crazy on his part. That shows that this will always be the Georgetown team. Aren't you supposed to learn from your mistakes? In order to learn, you have to be able to face them. Obviously he is not looking at holding any Hoya thugs accountable since the incident is behind them.

What a joke. Can't the Big East invoke a penalty? They were representing the confereence as well as the NCAA while touring.

So why have all the racist and jingoist comments not been deleted by the administrator?! Much of the discourse on this site is no better than the brawling players. Show some class, America!
