By Matt NorlanderThe title of this post doesn't do the podcast justice -- because Goodman, Parrish and I have a pretty lively 30-minute discussion, and only about seven minutes of it are dedicated to talking Penn State and how it differs from what happened at Baylor nearly a decade ago.
We have a good time. Lots of jokes, debate, insight and the kind of tenor I hope you come to expect and enjoy with this podcast.
The three of us get into talking recruiting, because today is very significant in terms of getting a clearer picture of what teams can be in the next one to five years. You need to go here to stay up on all that's happening. Vital info. Convince your friends you know more about 17-year-old basketball players than they do!
Today's topics:
- From the beginning: We start with National Signing Day. It exists -- but should it? How's it different from what it was 10 years ago? Will it be different five years from now? Also, valuable insight from Parrish on Purdue's latest commits.
- 8:41: Penn State's scandal: Biggest sports story since the O.J. trial? Parrish and Goodman say no. I still can't get over Gregg Doyel and his live-tweeting from JoePa's backyard.
- 15:56: Parrish is going to the Carrier Classic. It may rain. How was he allowed on this ship, anyway? Apparently it was a three-week process conducted by the Navy.
- 21:34: Goodman's going to be hosting a radio show with Bruce Pearl. I was never told. So I call him out on it. And Parrish battles Goodman over radio cred. As long as I've got the none-ballyhooed podcast cred, we're cool here.
