Ever since Northeastern coach Bill Coen told that he found Nkem Ojougboh (who turned out to be a pretty good player for the Huskies) from the transfer list, I decided I'd continue to put it together. It's a pain in the @#$, but if it helps one kid find a new spot, it's worth it.

Plus, all the college coaches harass me throughout the entire month of December.

As you can see, it's not exactly a list filled with household names.

Please send any additions/corrections to

Mid-Season Transfer List: First Installment

Goodman would do well not to recommend K. Birch of Pitt to any school that believes all players must earn their way into playing time and that they also are expected to play defense at a high level. Also, the school should be short of talent to make it easier for him to adjust.  At Pitt he had to beat out several players who were not only older but better.  Another point is that the kid may not take to tough love coaching designed to make him and the team more competitive.  He did not understand that playing under Dixon he might have developed into a NBA first round pick.
