UPDATE: Ohio State spokesman Dan Wallenberg told Goodman that Sullinger's injury has been diagnosed as a bone bruise in his left foot.
Jared Sullinger can’t get a break.
Two games after returning from back spasms, the Ohio State sophomore was injured against South Carolina on Saturday – and it’s not his back this time.
Sullinger went to the locker room in the first half after his left foot was stepped on. Jeff Goodman reported he was off-site getting X-rays on his foot, and he was also seen leaving the arena on crutches.
Ohio State reported that it was a left foot contusion. X-rays showed no fracture in his left foot.
Sullinger had three points, two rebounds and one blocked shot in the first 3:12 before his injury.
We will update this post as more information becomes available.
