Miami forward DeQuan Jones is eligible again.
Jones, who was suspended for what appeared to be the season while the NCAA investigated allegations $10,000 exchanged hands in his recruitment, is allowed to play, effective immediately.
Former Miami booster Nevin Shapiro told Yahoo! Sports that he provided cash to former Miami assistant Jake Morton to help recruit Jones.
The school released a statement on Tuesday, that after consultation with the NCAA, Jones has been cleared to return to competition.
Jones is an athletic wing who hasn't lived up to the expectations when he was recruited by former coach Frank Haith and his staff. He was a former Top 50 player who averaged 4.5 points and 2.5 rebounds last season, but will give new coach Jim Larranaga much-needed depth.Miami's next game is at Charlotte on Thursday.
