By Jeff Goodman

The deadline for submitting the 25 names for the Wooden Midseason List was last night. Gary Parrish and I figured we'd share our lists with you, so you can make fun of us, demean us or do both. Mine are on top because, well, they are superior. Check Parrish's below and then go ahead and make fun of him. Have no problem putting two guys on from Kentucky and North Carolina, but a pair from Seton Hall?  I just couldn't do it.

Wooden Award Midseason Ballots

Goodness, can't believe so many did not realize these lists are in alphbetical order.  Of course, I liked seeing Will Barton on both lists--but did not think they were placing him number 2.  But for a player who consistently logs double doubles, he deserves to be on the list.  He has been the heart and soul of the Tigers thus far.He leads the conference in points and the team in rebounds.  Not bad for a skinny guy.

Non sequitur

There is no correlation between having "class" and including some guy from Murray State in this article.  Columnists and bloggers have opinions; that is what they are paid to write.  Sometimes you agree, and sometimes not, but the only reason it would be "classy" is if the player mentioned was suffering from some disease or condition and wasn't really good enough to be mentioned, but was mentioned as a charitable move.  Now, THAT would be "classy."

So, is Canaan legit, or are the writers just being "classy?"

Rodney Mcgruder is playing tremendous basketball as of late..Have to see how he continues game to game, but he put up 30 in the loss to Baylor tonight and is averaging more than 20 in the past few games....

You mean the one the two of them had to constantly double team and he still went for 10 onts and 11 rebounds? Yeah, that's the one.

T-Rob should win and Danny Manning's resume of improving big men from one year to the next is amazing!

I would, for the first time, have to agree with Goodman. A little agressive on the SH double pick there Gary. I love ya, but really...really, you couldn't pull up a guy from any other team over Herb Pope? Really. Hey, Seton Hall is awesome this year...but they aren't fielding Derek Rose and Chris Douglas Roberts...Gary, I think Canaan from the Miracle that is the Murray State season should be getting a shout out.

Pretty good list . I am sure ther are those soon to be great players that get missed . One would be the point guard from Iona . But at this point my vote , if I had one would me Anthony Davis of Kentucky , Not only is he a stat stuffer, which is good , but just his presence changes the flow of the game for their opponents

Parrish must be kidding! How does he leave off Scott Machado (Iona pg), leading the country in assists per game (10.1), averaging 13.5 ppg, & 4.8 rpg while shooting 48% from the field and 83% from the foul line-with only 60 turnovers in 16 games?

Complete anti-mid-major bias!!!!
