Morgan State has reinstated coach Todd Bozeman.
Bozeman had been suspended after an incident in which he struck player Larry Bastfield on Jan. 7 at South Carolina State. He missed the past three games and wasn't allowed to participate in any basketball-related activities during the school's investigation.
"I'm just happy to be back with my team," Bozeman told CBSSports.com on Thursday night.
"I'm glad he's back," Bastfield told CBSSports.com moments after hearing the news. "The while thing was an accident. I knew he'd be back."
The news of Bozeman's reinstatement was first reported by ESPN.com.
In watching video of the incident, it was difficult to judge how much contact was made between Bozeman and Bastfield.
"I was walking to the huddle, and he tried to get my attention," Bastfield said. "When I turned my head, he got me in the chest -- but it wasn't intentional. The whole thing was incidental."
Morgan State is 1-2 in Bozeman's absence. Bozeman and Bastfield both met with a committee shortly after the incident and finally announced a decision on Thursday.
Bozeman will be back on the sidelines Saturday when the Bears face N.C. A&T.
