So I place these predictions here just for my own purposes to see how right I will be at the end of the season.
So without further ado...
AFC East:
Miami Dolphins (2)
New England Patriots (5)
NY Jets
Buffalo Bills
AFC North:
Pittsburgh Steelers (1)
Baltimore Ravens
Cincinnatti Bengals
Cleveland Browns
AFC South:
Indianapolis Colts (3)
Tennessee Titans (6)
Houston Texans
Jacksonville Jaguars
AFC West:
San Diego Chargers (4)
Kansas City Chiefs
Oakland Raiders
Denver Broncos
Personally, i see each division as a 3 team race, with a terrible team at the bottom of each. I wouldnt be suprised if KC or Oakland dethroned San Diego in the West, but it may be a season early for that. I see Pittsburgh as too solid on both sides of the ball to give up the division to Baltimore, despite the offensive additions they've made. They will sorely miss Ed Reed the first half of the season. Miami is my super sleeper team this year, I think with Chad Henne having a reciever who doesnt drop every pass thrown his way, this team will really click on offense.
AFC Playoffs:
Wild Card:
Indianapolis over Tennessee
New England over San Diego
Divisional:
Miami over Indianapolis
Pittsburgh over New England
AFC Championship:
Pittsburgh over Miami
NFC East:
Dallas Cowboys (2)
Washington Redskins
Philadelphia Eagles
New York Giants
NFC North:
Green Bay Packers (1)
Minnesota Vikings (6)
Detroit Lions
Chicago Bears
NFC South:
New Orleans Saints (3)
Atlanta Falcons (5)
Tampa Bay Bucs
Carolina Panthers
NFC West:
San Francisco 49ers (4)
Arizona Cardinals
Seattle Seahawks
St. Louis Rams
I think Washington, having some stability at qb and Shanny's sound running game, will make a push towards a wild card spot along with Philly and Minnesota. I think Favre is gonna have a hard time replicating last seasons play, and they will ultimately be a 9-7 team. The tightest race this season may be between NO and ATL in the south. I think the Falcons will be solid on both sides of the ball this year and push the Saints for the division. But ultimately, i see the NFC as a 2 horse race between the Pack and Cowboys.
NFC Playoffs:
Wild Card
Atlanta over San Francisco
New Orleans over Minnesota
Divisional
Green Bay over Atlanta
Dallas over New Orleans
NFC Championship
Green Bay over Dallas (if the game is in Dallas, it goes the other way)
Super Bowl:
Green Bay Packers over Pittsburgh Steelers
Awards:
MVP- Aaron Rodgers, Green Bay
Offensive POY- Frank Gore, San Francisco
Defensive POY- DeMarcus Ware, Dallas
Offensive ROY- Ryan Mathews, San Diego
Defensive ROY- Earl Thomas, Seattle
Coach of the Year- Tony Sporano, Miami
