Your favorite metal albums ever

Cheers headbangers. I thought I might create a blog of the greatest metal bands of all time, but since everyone idea of what is metal is different, I decided to go a different route. When I think of metal, I think of the more aggressive variety. It's a genere that has more subclasses than any other style of music so things can get a little hectic. So I decided to list my favorite albums instead. I listed only 1 album from any paticular band as to avoid mutiple listings from certain groups. I narrowed it down to 20 and that was more difficult than I thought it would be. Feel free to list whoever you want and if there is enough response I will tally the votes and list the results.

I have left many great albums out that might have made it on any other day as my mood shifts from time to time. Alot of these albums have been with me a long time and get played regularly so they tend to stick. Anyway, I am eager to hear your opinions. Rock on!

Your favorite metal albums ever

Faith No More was definitely an acquired taste. They were VERY eccentric. I have The Real Thing and Angel Dust and they are definitely different. What about Jane's Addiction? They were a great band with arguably one of the best drummers ever (Stephen Perkins).

Ahhhhhhh such a hard word to define what was considered metal 30 years ago wasnt considered metal 20 years ago which wasnt considered metal ten years ago which isn't considered Metal now. Me I'm not big on Thrash Death or Speed Metal as I don't like music where the singer can't actually sing. Not that thats true with all bands in those genres but for the most part it seems that way to me.

No Particular order here Maiden Killers, Number of the Beast. Piece of Mind, Powerslave.

Priest British Steel, Screaming for Vengence, Unleashed in the East.

Black Sabbath Born Again   Starring Ian Gillan as the Devil himself.

Flotsam and Jetsam,  Doomsday for the Deciever, No place for Disgrace.

Metallica, Master of Puppets, And Justice for All.

Tool undertow, Lateralus

Helloween Keeper of the Seven Keys

Queensryche EP, Warning, Operation Mindcrime.
