Nice Vid BLk.   Never a bad day with a Bartman song in it.   Can't believe Cubs are going to pay for Garza, maybe I had the owners pegged wrong, I hope so.    Tragic though, that the Sam Fuld era is over on the Northside.

Hawks try to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory again, gave up a pp and a late goal in the third.   Crawford played well, made some big saves and got some luck including the shootout and a few lucky bounces.   No Scott or Carkner on the ice, no complaints here.   Needed the two points, would have preferred a little less drama though.   Good 4 on 4 OT for the Hawks too I thought.   Campbell had a real good game again.

Good thing Kane and Toews has been praciticing shooting with the Lemon head guy so they could pull out the win.    Those two are in some bad commercials, but this one is going to haunt there image with the ladies if they ever get a little too close off of the ice in public.

Hawks only 8 behind Detroit in the loss column.....just like they planned it.    Chang's boys from the Isle coming in on Sunday after playing in COL on Sat, Hawks should have a big advantage, let's see if they can stop a pp.

Al Davis having offspring........please no, he's violated too many of my limited football sensibilities already, I can't imagine what 10 little Als would do.

OMG say it aint so!  Crazy Al reproducing OYE there is a cartoon image I didnt need!.......Herb........... Clean up in Asile 5!!!!

Yes I was impressed with a few Blackhawks last night. I thought Nick Leddy and Hendry were a good pairing, Partick Kane decided to show up and make some nice plays. Jake Dowell and Troy Brower stud up for thier captain. I agree on the lack of drama, I did say that the Stars would pull thier goalie AT 1:30 and tie it up.......sorry for the jinx! lol

I am still shocked at this Garza trade! I am hoping big Z finds a new home on the south side but I doubt it.......Ozzie would be a good lion trainer for him. I did shed a tear as the Sam Fuld era came to an end......sniff sniff NOT

HEY I got some inside info on the Super Bowl half time show, they have been bring back old talent. Well it isnt stopping any time soon here is the opening act.

I say the Blackhawks call Calgary and get Glencross.......I have been watching him since reading people mention him on blogs. I like his game, and it fits the hawks.

What The....... these guys are on the same team!

I say the Saints and Jets win today with the Ravens and Packers winning tomorrow. I had a horriable year in pickems, maybe next year will be better lol. I need to pimp my yahoo pickem next year.

Here is the S.O.D (song of the Day) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VEOV5vWfSgI

I seen these guys in 76 with my parents at Summerfest in Milwaukee.......good stuff right there. If you havent been to summerfest and you love music, you owe it to yourself to get there. runs from June 20ish through July 4

Yeah slump for sure video did kill the Real bands but it did give us hot chicks in heavy metal vids. Latley if you have noticed there has been a turn in the Raido star killing..........Reality TV shows has killed the Video Star.......and bands are rediscovering insturments. I am still a big southern rock fan, many have forgotten these guys. Played it in the bar a few ago and got a lot of comments lol

mmm........why is it that my new shawshank redemption has become Zac and Miri make a porno?

Well the Blackhawks managed to get 4 points out of this weekend.......the scarriest moment was going to a shoot out with the Scoring powerhouse Senetors. I do like the Leddy/Hendry paring

Only 3 points seperates 6th from 12th and the Hawks went from 12th to 6th.

I am sure the Sharks will do something big soon they arent sitting too pretty right now.

Hawks stepped on NYI like they were supposed to last night.    Thanks to COL the night before for wearing down what had been a hot NYI team.    Saw how dangerous Kane and Hossa are if they are allowed any space again, NYI is bad at hockey, and that blueline is pretty much worthless, sad for them.   Grabner had a rough night, could have had 4 goals but he was too jumpy to get good shots off.    Leddy and Hendry looked good this weekend, I wonder how effective they'll be against a fast and aggressive Col team and Nashville.   Hendry scares me and Leddy is too small yet, but they're more fun to watch than Boynton and Cullimore, and if they are out there with a couple of the better defensive forwards, Chi may be able to get away with it.    Leddy cuts Stan's cap space to 300K so there won't be much room to change the roster for the rest of the year, not enough room to even bring Morin up right now.

Hawks only have a few more games this month, they have to almost run the table, schedule finishes really nasty.    Detroit ran away and hid already, I doubt those 3 games against Detroit at the end will mean anything for the division crownFrown .

Makita and Hull to get a statue outside the UC, good for them,  Makita was worried about the pigeons.

I've been slacking and haven't watched enough AHL games this year, so I watched Hamilton and the Wolves on Saturday instead of the STL game.   Every time I'm sick of the NHL refs, all I have to do is to tune in to one of those games to see what really bad officiating looks like, it was brutal.   Do they drug test refs?   I think they're all on some type of performance suppression drug, stoned on something.    Wolves lost,  but they've been more fun to watch than Rockford in the few games I've seen, like I said, I've been slacking on the AHL.

San Jose in trouble, Setoguchi is a bust even when healthy, they signed Cheechoo to AHL contract and he's in the top 15 in scoring down there.   I wonder if Cheechoo learned how to skate again.    He'll probably come back with SJ after they make a move, that'll be funny.

Chicago hosting Seattle........what?    How many more breaks are the Bears going to catch?    i love it, wouldn't be surprised to see Rodgers light up Atlanta and then come to Chicago, I'll just worry about this week for now, tough not to try to look ahead.    No Manning, No Brees, No Vick, thank goodness the networks still have Big Ben and Brady to drool over, otherwise they may have had to do some prep work for the broadcasts.    The Seattle/Chicago game will be especially painful to listen to, but hopefully fun to watch.

Some more Bears football will by time for Q to get the Hawks up in the standings and playing better before the local media turns their attention to criticizing the Hawks, not sure if they're ready for an onslaught of criticism since they've never really had it yet, let's hope they take care of business prior to the AS break.

Yeah I watched the Saturday games and the rest of the Green Bay game when I got home. I spent the day at Wrestling with my son, it was a marathon. On my Pickems that Seattle game is the only I missed, this week will be a little tougher.

I mostly try to catch the Ice Hog games to see what the kids are doing. The only time I watch the Wolves is just to see how Akim Alou is doing. I thought that kid was gonna be something, but I guess he wasnt getting along with Kyle Beach. I am wondering if they will send Leddy down after his 10 games which is after the Avalanche. Then maybe Dylan Olsen or Shawn LaLonde get a call there is 20 more games. So I am tihinking that Jeremy Morin would be better in the playoffs after being in Rockford some more. Making big Stans next move being to pick up a proven vet on the blue line and maybe some grit for the fourth line. Morin has 2 goals and an assist with a +2 in 9 NHL games.

Another on the farm making noise is Peter LeBlanc (Boston College) who has 6 goals 5 assist with a +3 in 13 games he is a Center.

Ok it might be a let down but I am going to go for the local team. I am a Raiders fan and even bigger Al Davis hater! So I will try to force myself to buy a Bears shirt of some kind................maybe. I will say that the stage is set for them to get to the show.

I am kind of suprised that the Devils havent made another move yet, I know Lou will be making more. Also with the change in Calgary the Flames are quiet. The Sabers are a team that is close to a playoff spot and with out Derek Roy, maybe Arnot ends up there. I do know they are waiting on a new owner.

Hey Slump your boy Dave Atell hosted the Gong Show in 2008, it only lasted a few months........sniff sniff

Just stopping by to say hi while i look out at our snow.

Thanks blk took you long enough to get it sent down here, but you have been sick. Hope you are feeling better?

Did someone say something about making porn? Tongue out

I am approaching my pickem differently this week. Instead of picking who i think will win I will pick who i think will lose.  My record in the NFL playoffs is only slightly worse than my NCAA football picks. Should've approached it that way to begin with.

Hope y'all are doing well.

HAHAHA....... I bet if there was a pizza behind the sign....................

I think the Chicago Bears organization should send a thank you letter to the Lions and the NFL for thier season. That D is pretty good, its a bend dopnt break deal. I also have to say its been fun watching them this seson.

I approach the Raiders next season with GREAT caution. I suspect that Crazy Al will take over shopping for the grocries this year. The good news is they have no first round pick so no 3 rounders will be selected in the first round. So far the search for a head coach has been quiet, I am thinking Hugh Jackson would be the front runner. Who knows Al himself might wheel down to the sideline and take over (Puke in mouth here). ok time to move on I am getting red faced.

71% of the country is now covered by snow..................Global warming?

We got 6 inches of the white stuff yesterday.......I was glad cause we got that mini spring and it melted all we had. My son wasnt happy cause I got him a snowboard.....need I say more lol.

HA Seatle had tremmors? I think they were shaking from all the starucks coffee consumption.......That was an awesome run by Lynch! at the time I was watching it I flashbacked to runs by Earl Campbell, Barry Sanders, Walter Payton, and Eric Dickerson. Dude broke 7 tackles and a HUGE stiff arm.

Yes the Sharks have in my opinion over valued what they have, I agree they should have made a trade of Joe Thornton at least. I think he would bring the most back to them, Heatley still has that problem tag on him.

I agree 100% on the Kings they have underachieved this year. I expected them to be much more explosive, I have read where they are looking at Mike Fischer. Thing is I am also hearing that Wayne Simmons is one to be shopped too. I think that is a mistake, I like that kids effort. I would take him on the Hawks in a second.

Kinda going nuts here searching for Blackhawks rumors.............cant find a thing.......That front office is tighter than fort knox

Fowards I would want ............Curtis Glencross and Mike Grier come to mind. I havent come up with a blue liner yet I am comfortable with what they have for now.

Too bad for Megatron that he never embraced "the process" last offseason.

Kinda going nuts here searching for Blackhawks rumors.............cant find a thing.......That front office is tighter than fort knox

Maybe Leddy was going to be the only move to make, with him up, Stan is low on cap space anyway.

Hawks had a good one last night.   Crawford caught some breaks, but came up big on a few when the Hawks made they're bad mistakes.   Earlier this year all those chances were in the net, things just balancing out I think.    Colorado is not very good if they don't get much space, they aren't very difficult physically to matchup against, especially in their zone, they miss Stewart among others, but it was nice to see Chicago squash them and keep them down.   Kane and Hossa are looking very good lately, and the Hawks haven't allowed more than 30 shots in the past 7, since they were slapped around against STL.  The shots against is the thing I'm most excited about, they're finally starting to get the edge in shots most matchups, and they are definately playing much smarter with the puck and away from it.

Bolland started skating better lately, and he's contributing offensively, but for the life of me, I don't understand how he hasn't improved in the faceoff circle, even against rookies and the other poor faceoff guys in the league.   I don't expect him to win 50% against Sedin, Dats, or Thorton, but I expect at least 50% against the majority of centers if he's going to be in a defensive matchup specialist role.   I don't recall another center in recent history that has gotten worse in the circle than they were 3 years previous at the age of 24.   Anyway he's playing better, but he's still on the bad list in my book.    Stalberg made so great defensive plays last night, and smart ones too, glad to see the offensive drought isn't rubbing off into other parts of his game.    Colorado wasn't able to take advantage of Leddy's size, and Leddy's speed and decision making made the 2 forecheckers going after him look silly more than a couple times.   This Leddy thing may work out yet, I hope so.   Tougher challenges the next few games for him.

Besides not giving me a Bettman robe and slippers for Christmas, that husky guy with the beard and red suit never gave me my Probert book either.    Anybody read it yet?   No excuse to go to the bookstore lately as I got Starbucks gift cards instead of ones for the book stores,  I'm not much of a Starbucks drinker so I need to look into trading with somebody one of these months.   Anyway, here's a little bit more from the Probert book here . Nice little bit about Probie and Crowder I'm sure Detroit fans recall.   Here's an older one that was probably posted already.

Bob sorry bout the christmas Blues on the lack Bettman collection items........maybe next year man

HA NHLN analyst is calling Mike Browns hit on Jovo a head shot, These old timers should all be down in Florida. I watched this hit 10 times in slow mo and it was a body shot no doubt (I love slow mo)

Hey great piece on the NHL entry draft depth/bad question. I personally think there are many good players in this draft that will be solid NHLers. The Question being is there a super star? Might not be visiable now but like you say in 3 to 5  years we will see.

I said there the Blackhawks will be looking for goaltending.............maybe later in the draft. I looked at what they have and the blue line is glaring need for size. So I am thinking Blue line again for thier first pick. Then I turned to google to search out the mock draft and seen 2 where they take David Musil 6'3 190 he is ranked any where from 4 to 12. The Blackhawks were slotted in the 14th spot. He could be a future paring with Dylan Olsen who has a similar build. Yes there is a Sutter in this draft too Lukas Sutter who is playing with the Blades.

It was good to see the hawks finally play the Avalanche tough even though it was with out Chris Stewart who will be back on the ice tonight against the Wild.

Look for the Sharks to make some kind of move soon after losing to the Oilers............I am not laughing............well maybe. they are on a 6 game skid.

Back to the Maple Leafs.......they got a fine from the NHL for Salary Cap violations. Seems Ron Wilson gave the team a little extra ensentive to beat his once beloved sharks.

My baggo league team kinda stumbled out of the block in the first 3 weeks going 17-19. I then pointed out that in the 4th frame when we switch throwing partners that we were 8-1. I suggested that we start out like that and in the last 2 weeks we have gone 22-2. This is a traveling league where you go to other bars in the area. Its kinda cool to go to dive bars I had no idea exsisted. I have my eye on a bags tournement this coming monday, its a blind draw. I just have to make sure my schedule is clear.

Nope haven't bough the Probert book. I have a hard time warranting paying 25 bucks for a book so I'm waiting til it comes down in price.......beer and bills take higher priority, mostly beer.
Probie wouldn't want it any other way I'm sure.

Wilson.......is he still there?    Bust him and let him move on.
Mike Brown may have missed Jovo's head (can't tell) but it looked like he sure wanted to catch his mellon on the follow through, so I like the suspension on his hit.   He's from a suburb north of Chicago.   I think he had a goal and a fight in his first NHL game.   Played for U.S. as a Junior I believe too.

Farve's sister, LT....good stuff.    I hope Brett doesn't do any more commercials, I just want him to go away....really, I really want him to go away.   Maybe that Rodgers win against the dirty birds will put the nail in the coffin for Favre's career.   Maybe he can get in that sex offender video Slump posted.

Nice weekend for the Hawks taking 3 of 4 pts and only letting Nash get 2.   CHI still gave up 2 pp goals and 3 3rd period goals in the two games, so those problems remain.   They did comeback tonight and showed who has more talent on the ice, so that's good.   Leddy is fun to watch, but Nashville exposed him when they could last night, they really went after him and Hendry and got a goal and some scoring chances out of it.   Those were two of the worst officiated games I've seen against the Hawks this year.   I think the officiating evens out by the end of the year for the most part, so I think the Hawks paid their debt to the zebras from before, and got a little left over in the bank, hopefully they cash it in against Phi next weekend, or just give it to the Bears.

Heard the Bears played today, did they win?     Bears-Pack on the worst turf in the NFL, good stuff.   The "fire and the passion" from the meatballs hollering all sorts of stupid stuff is going to make this a fun week.   I'm gonna fortify my Kool-aid and join them.   No worries about Brady and that coach of his anymore just in case the Bears (whom I would have taken the under on a 6.5 win season) get by the Pack.
Hawks are off until SaturdaySmile , everybody will be just about caught up in games played.   They have to take advantage of the 5 days off against that healthy Grand Rapids squad, and they need 3 of 4 points against PHI and Minn.   How is Minn hanging around in the West anyway?   Who didn't tell them their season was over?   Then a few more days off, maybe they can spend time with the mental skills coach to learn how to kill a penalty, and how to stay focused in the 3rd.

HA yeah I heard there was a Bears game on too..........The boys from up north looked pretty tough beatin the dirty birds. I have picked GB to win in the Jets to win in the Yahoo deal. However I am rooting for............DA BEARS!

Hmmmmmmm...........A couple players were shown the way to San Jose. Are the Sharks in panic mode? Are these moves going to get them over the line and in the playoffs? They claimed Kyle Wellwood from the Blues one day after they signed him to a one year deal (just like they lost Marek Savatos to the preds). Then they send a 2011 5th round pick to the Thrashers for Ben Eager. Eager was rumored to be headed back to the Blackhawks, Who I think have to make a move or two to play deep into the playoffs.

Congrats to Jamie Langenbruner who got a GW in his 1,000 NHL game.......I thought that was pretty cool.

Mercy no Blackhawks till Saturday..........I need to find that free hockey site again. Before my computer crashed for a 7th time I had a site where they had a game on each night. I didnt pull the trigger on NHL center ICE this year.......I saved up to buy a car instead. 2003 Chevy Monte Carlo........its rollin on 20s HA I B Pimpin.
