Let's just cut to the chase, douggie

June 7, 2012 11:44 am

Come on uksmith, UK won the NC in 51.  You know it don't count since it happened before 1991.

Silly me...I forgot that ALL college sports....especially college basketball, started in 1991. I heard rumors about teams prior to that time winning games, but, records prior to 1991 are sketchy at best. I'm just grateful that Kentucky has 3 National Titles in their existence. It's doesn't compare to Duke's 4, by any means.....or, even MORE importantly, Duke's multiple Maui Invitational National Titles. THOSE are the epitomy of greatness.

You know that Kentucky National Football title was right after my ancestor returned from Valley Forge. He said it was really cold. There may be a fossil in the historical museum there in Franfurt that acknowledges pigskins that date to that period too. My guess is that Speilberg has looked into a sequel for his next Indiana Jones movie with that in mind. It's to be called "Shaving Points Under Adolphus Courruptus".

Never happened. Why? Prior to 1991, the world didn't exist. You have already stated that many times yourself.

Guess it's time to "pull a Douggie" and change the subject, yet again.

uksmithfan in 1951 was a gleam in his Grandmother's eye. Back then Rupp Arena was little more known than a "big gymnasium". And Adolph was a great name for a racist wasn't it?

What's all this talk about 1951? And who was Adolph? I only know what happened from 1991 and on. You know, Kentucky's 3 ever National Titles, Duke many Maui Invitational National Titles. Rupp Aren wasn't around in 1951 Douglas.

But, here's the link on the greatest college basketball arena ever built.

And I stand corrected by smittyt. Adolph wasn't a household racist name until after 1951.

Again, according to you, Douglas, the world wasn't created until 1991. How could there be a 1951 if time didn't start til 1991?

The world was created when douggie's mom spit my seed into her fertile valley.  College basketball didn't exist until 1991.  Get it right. Wink

douggie is clearly a "young earther"

He has the same grasp and understanding of basketball and NCAA rules that this guy has on science.

I am still trying to figure out if Douggie is referencing Gettysburg or  Magette's burg.  You know, that infamous NCAA investigation where the rat that is Coach K and the spineless NCAA hid the cheese.Tongue out

So it has to be Magette's burg since that happened after 1991.  After living in the Research Triangle, a few years ago, I was always amazed at the arrogance that the Dukies had toward everyone in that area.  After meeting quite a few students from Duke, I never met one that could find their way to Raleigh without a picture map.

Yup, and it was still bigger than Hansboro Indoor way back then huh?
Yup.  Memorial Coliseum held 12,000 at the time.  It seats about 9,000 now because they took some seats out to put some athletic offices in.
