Had a great day flosting off shore at the nude beach waiting and positioning strategically until the naked ladies joined me in the placid surf. The only negative was a slight case of neck sunburn. Hard to say but Ranger pitching is finally something to fear. Who would of ever thought that. Looks like your Red Sox cant hit their way out of a paper bag right now. If it wasnt for Ellsbury they would have no offense. He has turned into a one man wrecking crew.

No worries Catfish you are back in the 1K, I was for about 2 weeks and it went away, I really don't care, but it's interesting. Look at Con, he was gone for almost a year I bet and is still a superstar.
As for the Sox, I agree, Agon is slumping, so is Pedey, Youk has a bad back, Drew is done, Crawford is an enigma, Lowrie got hurt, Lackey sucks, Wake is old, Albers is overworked, Tek is old, Salty is doing well though, Lester and Beckett are just odd this year Yet they are still owners of the most wins in the AL. Tells me the rest of the outside the Yanks and the Rangers really sucks. |

Now this is a funny statement. Rangers are worthless yet they took out the Yankees last year and two of their best players are former Rangers. Taking ARod and Tex away lifted the curse from the Texas Rangers and slapped it right on the NY Yankees. If being 20 games over .500 is worthless than we will gladly take that every year. |

Rangers have the 5th best record in baseball and that is with Beltre being on the DL for the last month or so. With the Yankees having 2 more wins and double the payroll, I would consider the Yankees a FAILURE. Enjoy your one and done playoff run badin1. cc + burnett + colon + hughes + garcia = failure. no way they make it to the world series with that rotation.
cc is great and will finish in 2nd place for the cy young behind verdy. the rest of those guys shouldn't even be on the field at the stadium. they should be selling outdogs...well before colon and garcia eat them all. haha. |

Finally someone with some baseball knowledge makes a very true statement. Take CC out of that rotation and all you are left with is has beens. Those guys are all 4th starters in my opinion.

Good Friday all - Khep, 4 is good if you are in your 40's, I am there with you at 41. Con has been on this thread a long time but is a baby in age compared to the rest of us. Actually I am not sure how old Lil is and it's not nice to ask a lady, but I know Yam and Bad are our "geezers", and we used to have Rok post, he was the geezerest...then you, me, Catfish, Chief all in that upper 30's to mid 40's range...Phoggy is a tad older than us I think and Con is right around 30.
It's actually nice to have a couple gals on the thread, they are both good people. Catfish and I have known Con a long time though and don't hold his immaturity against him. |

Hey Packerz.
Hawk, thanks for the run-down there. I know Rok a little from another thread. Went to Cincy for a series in June, he gave me some tips on the Cincy scene. I know CC3 and Phogg from over there as well. I see Cat and Packerz there too. Sometimes that thread goes haywire. That was why I was searching for a place with civil chat. For the most part, that other thread is full of awsome folks, but every now and again it kind of gets hijacked with arguments. I like a good debate, but name calling arguments are for the birds. |

Packerz drops in from time to time as you can see. It's all good, we are welcoming here, we do get into debates/arguments at times.
Chief may be the baby of the group...I love how as I get older I do what folks have always done to me. Like Packerz did...calling these kids young and such. At my job when I worked in the office I was the youngest one by a couple of years and I started at 33, they were all in their upper 30's so I was always called the baby. I work from home now, but I like to give the younger crowd some crap at times. I have earned the right by reaching my 40's. Con hasn't posted today, Catfish will give him crap you watch. |
