Anyone else notice how winded Battier was in the last 3 minutes of the game? I mean he was huffing and puffing. Guarding Durant and co really wore him down.Unfortunately, there is no other option for the Heat. That's the problem of the super team is the lack of depth on the team outside of it! Even poor Shane Battier has to play 40 something minutes a game.

and less Mike Miller. He had 2 open looks (that I remember) at 3 and hesitated. You are on the floor to hit 3s... Maybe time for some Jones too? |

Hopefully all the games are like this. Great performances all around. Not sure if you were being facetious MM but are we really going to let Wade off the hook like that? The media propaganda is ridiculous. It's always Wade is clutch and Bron folds. Quietly (or not so quietly) Wade has been ridiculously substandard this whole playoffs sans the last three games of the Indiana series (especially game 6). Bron has done his part. Wade has faded. If it's going to be Durant v. LeBron in the fourth than goonight Miami. Wade needs to fill his role for once and close. It must be nice having a free pass as the guy with a tainted title.. Game 2 adjustments: LeBron guards Durant all game, Wade guards Westbrook. Battier guards Fisher!Totally agree. Right when I saw Battier guard Bron off the tip I started taking shots. Battier isn't that guy anymore. It has to be Bron.. And ABC blows, sans Wilbon.. |

And ABC blows, sans Wilbon..Thank goodness someone else sees it. Although Wilbon has moments where I can't stand him as well. And I do like Jeff Van Gundy and Mike Breen. My ideal commentating group would be Marv Albert, Bill Walton and Jeff Van Gundy but this group will do for now. |

People always say "well Dwyane Wade is the true closer because he has a title" but he got that title by shooting a million free throws versus the Mavericks. I really don't know what he's proved in his career outside of that. LeBron James deferred to him last year and they got trashed by Dallas. I think Wade needs to step it up for sure. |

LeBron James deferred to him last year and they got trashed by Dallas.Yup blame Wade for them losing to Dallas. The guy who shot nearly 55% and avg 27 PPG in the finals. He was by far the best Heat player last year in the finals. Not his fault LBJ disappeared on him games 2-5 last year which is the reason they're not defending champs. Miami lost to Dallas because Lebron disappeared and Spoelstra didn't make proper adjustments. Simple as that. If Wade played as bad as LBJ last year in the finals, not only does Miami gets swept but they lose every game by double digits. And to say they got trashed by Dallas is also a poor choice of words. Outside of game 6, each of Dallas wins came down to the final 2 minutes of the 4th where LBJ who is supposed to be the greatest player in the world disappeared. Game 6 was the only game where Dallas was clearly the better team from start to finish. Game 4, Wade had 32 on 20 shots in a 3 point Heat L while LBJ had 8 but yeah let's blame D-Wade lol. If Lebron plays a half decent game and give Miami 16 points, they win the game and take a 3-1 series lead which more than likely ends the series. Wade and Bosh showed up in the finals last year, LBJ did not. Simple as that....Comical that you're trying to blame LBJ deferring to Wade as the reason Dallas beat them in the finals. |

I didn't say that Dwyane Wade played bad. I simply said that LeBron James deferring to him didn't the get the trick done.
But continue to get worked up over nothing. |

I simply said that LeBron James deferring to him didn't the get the trick done.LBJ playing like a role player for the entire finals didn't get trick done. Had nothing to with him deferring to Wade......Had more to do with Lebron playing like crap for the entire finals. |

Thank goodness someone else sees it. Although Wilbon has moments where I can't stand him as well.Wilbon isn't a basketball savant by any means but he isn't annoying or incompetent, so by default he's > on that studio.. I have a soft spot for Breen's commentary, especially the "bang".. Glad I'm not alone on JVG either. He's highly criticized but makes awesome calls (like predicting free-throw rebounds). Put Magic, Broussard (how the hell did he get to that position), Barry and Reggie Miller in a room and I'd drop a bomb on them. Breen and JVG are a boss finals play by play team. If only Miami got a new PA announcer.. |

Jeff Van Gundy's great. He gets on a soap box from time to time but he does a good job of being entertaining while not becoming too much of a cheerleader (like most announcers - like Reggie Miller) during the game. The guy I miss the most is Kevin McHale I thought he was fantastic last year. Doug Collins was always somebody I enjoyed watching as well.
I must say I agree with you, though, that I'm confused at how Chris Broussard got into his position. But ESPN commentary is, in general, pretty poor so I shouldn't say I expect too much. |

Oh have a heart MM. We lost a team. You lost a player (and got back Irving) ha. Doug Collins was always somebody I enjoyed watching as well.Excellent call. Forgot about him. Favorite analyst. Most found him dry unfortunately.. |

Say what you want about Wade but one thing you cannot say about Wade is that unlike LBJ last year in the finals when Wade has his off games, he tend to still show up in the 4th quarter......If LBJ showed up in the 4th last year in the finals after having 3 poor quarters like Wade has been, the Heat win the title.

but are we really going to let Wade off the hook like that?I enjoyed Wade's performance! Ok everyone but Wade... Right when I saw Battier guard Bron off the tip I started taking shotsTell me about it. Battier guarding his teammate helped OKC. ![]() Joel Anthony should be getting more playing time and I tell you why. He clogs the lane, fouls guys, and most importantly he makes OKC not be able to play small ball as effectively. Perkins would probably be in when Anthony is - taking away offense for OKC. |

Game 2 adjustments: LeBron guards Durant all game, This is a myth. The Thunder will just pick and roll and force LBJ – Miami to switch. Maybe you can get one game where LBJ can fight over and around picks for an entire game but that’s it. Or maybe if LbJ goes under and KD just misses a lot. |
