The reason Vickie couldn't get any sleep last night is because she was having nightmares about the thrashing I'm giving her...a 76 point lead after only two days and thanks to the demise of Tommy Hanson, I still have a 1 SP advantage.  I have been trying to load up my roster with the best SP options I can find just in case either Frank or Dave make the playoffs...can't afford to risk being knocked out simply because they catch Lightning in a bottle with the 8-12 SPs they would likely try to roll out there vs me.

Sorry to burst your bubble Marty, but there is absolutely zero chance of you winning the East Division...you're 3 games back of Val (could be 2 if you can beat the quitter) and assuming she doesn't go MIA and leave multiple players on the DL in her starting lineup like Estle does, you simply aren't going to be able to pass her (tieing her would cause you to lose on the YTD points tie-breaker)...her team hasn't gone 12-5 by luck

Simple math really...Rick has scored YTD 4,603.5 points while you have only scored 4540.5...he leads you by 63

I like the additions of Travis Snider and Gaby Sanchez. I only like Sanchez as a bench bat as Garrett Jones has earned the right to be an everday 1st baseman. He can even hit lefties now.

I added Jones to my roster this week because based on his splits, he does much better against RH pitchers (14 of his 16 HRs are against them) and his avaergae is considerably better on the road than at home which is where they play all of their games this week...whether he can really hit lefties with power would be my biggest concern.

OK now look to see WHEN he hit the 2 vs lefties and remember they plan to platoon him with a person having a worse year than Mcgehee. It's like they took 2 and a half months to make the right decision between platooning Jones with Mcgehee or playing Jones everyday only to hit the reset button with a different struggling 1st baseman.

Waino was hit 84 MPH on his fastball last start man.  His velocity is way down.  Versus the Astros, Cubs, Padres yeah he is waaay better.  LOL

Haren is still hitting 90's on his fastball.  Waino's arm is toast.

Good Thursday Morning GB10, for me at least this week is moving right along...I like that

I can't believe I'm actually going to say this, but I have enjoyed watching the Olympics every night...not to say there aren't some things I would change, but overall better than sitting through an entire MLB game.

So far I have 5 acceptances for the Justice League - Fred, Scott, Jamie, Marty, Frank...let me hear from the rest of you

My matchup with Val has become extremely one-sided (no wonder she doesn't want to be in the chat room any longer than absolutely necessary) as I now lead by 110 points thanks to exceptional performances from Jake Peavy (30 points) and Robinson Cano (13 points) not to mention solid performances from Fernando Rodney (9 points), Garrett Jones (7 points and he didn't come into the game until the 8th inning), and Alcides Escobar (6 points)

My bigeest remaining decision this week is do I try to trade for a 1B in addition to finding a new SS to compete with Marty next week or simply focus my efforts on stockpiling pitching talent for the 2 week playoff since by then Joey Votto, Jose Bautista, and Evan Longoria will all have returned from their stints on the DL.

is that like........dont come yet, i wanna eat it? 

Now that is fuck****ing funny...Marty always wants to leave them with a smile on their face.
